A letter to my fellow millennials

Lets not stop 
Lets not forget 
Lets take this beyond a social media rant 
Lets refuse to accept this destiny
Lets be the change makers
Lets make better workplaces
Lets design better security systems
Lets change the dialogue
Lets refuse to consume sexism in the form of entertainment
Lets refuse to buy music that glorifies sexual violence and the objectification of women and girls
Lets shout louder for justice 
Lets spread awareness across the world about the mediocre judicial system
Lets follow up 
Lets mobilize as allies
Lets learn how racism, sexism & homophobia are connected
Lets shame cat-callers
Lets be more aware about the predators in our surroundings
Lets refuse to socialize with them 
Lets believe survivors
Lets fight the misbehaving man at a club or a concert
Lets take legal action 
Lets take a movement beyond a candle march
Lets start a fucking revolution
Lets be better than the generation that raised us
Lets raise a better generation

To all my millennial friends,
Lets take collective duty
Its not even about safety anymore, its about our freedom and our future
Lets be better, lets make our country better
Lets make it feel like home, again

My favorite year

  If you look from the outside this looks like the most normal , uneventful year, but for me, my heart and body, this is the year that changed the course of my life. It changed everything. It brought me great peace, connection, maturity, growth, hope and unparalleled love. This year was one upward journey with so many moments that I will forever cherish. There’s this girl I know

There’s this girl I know. I think she’s very cool. She’s been through a lot. But somehow, she always finds a way to bounce back. She finds a way to smile through her losses. She’s been hurt and broken, but it hasn’t made her bitter. In fact, it’s made her a better person. It’s made her soft, and thoughtful, and empathetic, and kind. She loves herself on the good days and she loves herself harder on the bad days. She offers warm hugs and is an iron clad shoulder to those she loves. She cares deeply.
